Up at The O2 launches sky-high pilates classes, in support of Young Minds
Up at The O2, the award-winning roofwalk attraction, has today announced the launch of London’s highest outdoor Pilates classes, bringing the hugely popular exercise class to its world-famous roof for the very first time this May, to mark Mental Health Awareness Week (13 – 19 May 2024).
In association with The O2’s official charity YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity fighting for children and young people’s mental health, Up at The O2 will be hosting the rooftop classes as part of three extended climbs on Sunday 19 May, with all profits being donated to the charity. The classes, taking place at 8:15am, 8:45am and 9:15am, will be expertly hosted by an instructor from London’s award-winning premium studio, Exhale Pilates.
Along with a guided climb up and over the roof of the world’s most popular live entertainment, leisure, and retail destination, climbers will also enjoy extended time on the roof with a 20-minute Pilates class at the summit. Whether you’re experienced in the practice or are only just beginning your journey, these classes are suited to every level.
Dan Hurst, Head of Attractions at Up at The O2 said: “We’re so excited to be celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week on the roof again this year in support of YoungMinds, and this time by bringing a brand-new activity to the sky for our climbers with the launch of Pilates classes. It’s the perfect way to kickstart a Sunday feeling strong and refreshed, with incredible views of the London skyline, and supporting a charity who do vital work for young people and families all over the country in the process – what more could you want?”
Tickets are available for £40 per person (the same cost as a standard Daytime weekend climb), and climbers must be aged 18+. All profits from the rooftop Pilates classes will be donated to YoungMinds, in support of their vital work with young people and parents across the UK. Pre-booking is essential, and all equipment will be provided.
